I killed Kangaxx very easily recently!
I set half a dozen traps where he appears and got a fighter wielding sunray and ring of ram to copy himself using vhaliors helm. Kangaxx apeared I sunray and ring of ram, he died, he turned into demi lich, I used the ring of the ram did 15 damage and he died. I though he had more health than that?

 

Off-topic:

Where is the two other liches? I've only found one, and can't remember where the last one is.....

 

The liches are in the sewer when you do the unseeing, and the bridge somewhere near the Tanners house. There is another one in the gates district who is holding onto Daystar.

 

And if you ever fought the demi-lich, you would have had to kill the other two.

At a -4 save vs. death, it really does have a high chance of working - 55% in fact. On average two shots should be needed to take him out.

The problem with Azure Edge is that it won't hit Kangaxx to begin with (hits only as a +3, and Kangaxx needs +4 to be hurt)

Seriously, I guess that one hit I dealt him was lucky after all (well, it is a 55% chance after all). Somehow I assumed he had even poorer saves than that.
I do stant by my previous statement though: the MOD doesn't work against the Watcher's Keep demilich. I tried. Many times. Bio probably gave that one better saves.

He has about 50 health but he also has a fast regeneration rate(because of the ring).Are you sure you didn't do any other damage with a weapon?

 

I always kill kangaxx in the same way. Just before the first one dies (He's not even an issue, just a nuisance) I cast timestop, then cast Horrid Wilting three times before it wears off. He's never survived yet, so I'm assuming he's not immune to lvl 8/9 spells.

 

There's also a lich in the Underdark city of Ust'Natha. Don't forget the lich, Deirex. I had more trouble trying to defeat him than I did trying to kill the Elemental Lich down in someone's basement in the Bridge District.

 

@Ziad: Azuredge won't damage him in the ordinary way... but it will kill him (it?) nevertheless
just have to wait until he (it?) fails his (its?) saving throw.

[EDITED: actually it works fine on the first lich, the elemental one but not on the Demilich -i.e. the last one- my mistake, sorry...]

Are you sure about this? I thought the insta-kill ability only works if the weapon is "effective".
