Hey Silroth, as I mentioned, thieves survive by intelligence... so do (at least) european lawyers :D

Take backstabbing for instance, it isn´t a tactic that distant from a lawyers everyday business. It´s familiar for me to enjoy playing a thief character - except looting, that certainly has a lure of its own ;)

But as a prosecuting attorney I wouldn´t play anything else but a paladin... :p

Yeah, right Ragusa, all of them say that - "I'll be just the instrument of justice" - and many turn to be the instrument of pre-judice :) no offence intended

Well you could hack the game, make a mega killer mage, then cast imprisonment on her.

    just a thought

[IMG] If you're really evil and absolutly hate her, use Tal's method.
The sorcerer consistently forbids her to cast spells.
A mage who can't spellweave will slowly wither and perish.
So this slow torture will do the job, if not in Irencus' prison then later on. :(

    Awww.

Well, you'll be glad to hear that I'm having Imoen cast spells all over the place now!
    The trick?
One word for ya: Elven Chain... Divine armor AND it lets her cast spells.
Valygar is very happy with his Shadow Dragon armor I gave him now that Imoen didn't need it anymore.

No slow torture anymore, and she's happier than ever. ;)

    Can Imoen wear elven chain?
I thought only fighters could wear it.

    [IMG] Shura:
Pure mages can't but, since she's also a thief, she can wear some minor stuff. Very useful in the underdark.

    Tal:
    :) :) :) What a relief!!! :) :) :)
I swear, I'm not gonna flame you for at leat 10 minutes. :p

[IMG] 10 minutes are over! :D

Don't you think, it's a bit cheap, that Imoen had to free herself out of your iron golem grip by acquiring a new armor, rather than having brotherly love or even insight change your petty, nasty, lowdown, humiliating, ..., evil ways ?!?
It's painful to see this board led by someone of such doubtful character  (it's good to see him do all the work though ;) ;) ;) )!!!

    Hehe.

Well think of it this way. Would you rather have Imoen die all the time with me having to raise her a dozen of times (as happened with Aerie), or have her equipped a bit better and not die once, but lose magic for some time?
I think any sensible character'd pick lose magic-stay alive option. And as I said, it was only temporary. ;)

[IMG] Tal, did you ever think of putting your mages in the back and your fighters up front??? :p :p :p
Yes, the poor fighters will have to polish their armor more often, but this keeps mages much better alive than giving them some flimsy armor!!!
Imoen (and Nalia for that matter) can very well kepp themselves alive AND be an asset for the party throwing spells from second or third line.
This puts a certain responsibillity on the fighters, but hey, they have to work for their pay too. (Haer'Dalis has a difficult time in my party, playing frontman for 5 spellcasters, but now and then there's a healing spell for him too).

[IMG] Um, I have them at the back... what do you think I am, some sort of newbie? Sheesh! :p

This tactic worked much better in BG1, but hardly in BG2. Just about every a bit more powerful monster will go for the weakest party member first, that's why Aerie got killed so often in the beginning.

About killing Imoen in Chap-1: I wanted to kill the sewer´s golem after I managed to kill the prison golem with Jaheiras holy sword spell (5.000xp :D and he doesn´t even defend himself :D ).

I tried on the other golem and tried and tried and so on - rested - tried again. Frustrated I wanted to check if he can be killed at all and gave Imoen 50 melf magic meteors and my char the "killswd" (that does some 1000 damage each hit) with shadow keeper. This golem seems to be immortal.

I remembered Imoens belt and tried on her. I inflicted some 5.000 damage to her and her rescue throw against deat never seemed to fail :D ...she fled the NPC escape...

maybe its the belt, try deleting it with shadowkeeper, then we'll see if she's immortal :D

Nor need for further work - it is the belt, no doubt :D For cowards who are afraid to get killed in the later stages of BG-2 this item offers some interesting options :D
