This doesn't necessarily mean that we're predestined to be saved or condemned - as it's believed that condemnation is a result of conscious choice of Satan and evil over God and good. Then Jesus says that no matter how great your sins are, God's love is even greater. Of course, you need to understand your wrongs, regret and atone.

But actually discussion predestination is not the point here - I used the example above to show that Christian differ hugely in their interpretation of the Bible, non-Christian people who have studied Christianity a bit differ even more... and finally we have self-enlightened critics and their claims. Don't forget about Jews and Muslims (similar roots, same God). Yes, one shouldn't pick on their faulty knowledge of the Bible if they aren't members of any religion associated with it, but why then should they be treated seriously if they attack something they don't know and why do they assume the position of an equal participant in the debate?

Now let's move to the next point, contradictions. Most of those contradictions are only supposed to be contradictions. Matters that can't be fully understood or fully know won't submit to our logic - we'll not have enough data. Thus, if a link is unable to be found, there doesn't have to be any contradiction. Simply the connection is not readily apparent. Logic works only to the extent permitted by our data acess, we can't omit fields relevant to the outcome. For one who believes in the Bible there's also another explanation: logics and science are of the man, faith and religion is of God. God wouldn't be God if He were within our cognition and fully explainable by our limited reasoning. Our science has the same flaw as we have - imperfection.
