Anyone know how to transfer characters from Shattered Lands to Wake of the Ravager? I am playing on GoG and the Chartran file errors out. Tried editing the Dosbox config file from ravager to chartran then started the game to force the Chartran option but the destination folder field does not have enough character spaces to type the full path... frustrating...

I played it on Windows 98SE without DOSBOX, (although I might have used "Reboot into MS-DOS mode") and not the GOG version either. What I would ASSUME you need to do is have a folder that holds the folders for Dark Sun 1 and Dark Sun 2 within it, such as
    Code:
    C:\DOSGAMES\DSUN
    C:\DOSGAMES\DSUN2
Mount \DOSGAMES as your C:\ in DOSBOX
Then run the built-in transfer program from DOSBOX.
It is has been at least 10 years since I played the games, it might have been more like 15 years. I cannot recall the fine details about how to do the transfer.

As for configuring DOSBOX, I would think that the only change you need to make over what worked for Dark Sun 1 might possibly be allocating more RAM if you have less than 12mb allocated. I don't recall how much RAM was needed for the games, but it shouldn't have needed more than 4mb-8mb.
