A small argument with guys from some-other-forum made me think about this...

Someone stated that they usually do about 20+ damage. I was curious how's that possible, as I've never had this much without critical hit. Then I just took manual and looked into tables. Let's take pretty standard warrior -

    Two-handed sword: 1d10: 1-10
    Strenght 18/00: +6: 7-16
    Specialisation: +2: 9-18
    +2 Enchantment: +2: 11-20

Still rather not in the 20+ range eh. So I took my current char, as I know that I usually do ~14 damage.

    Long Sword: 1d8: 1-8
    Strenght 16: +1: 2-9
    Specialisation: +2: 4-11
    +2 Enchantment: +2: 6-13.

Not even close! So, where's the catch? What damage bonus I am missing? Or there is different system for this alltogether? Does +6 to luck(On Easy) counts for the damage too?

Depends when in the game you're talking about. If well into ToB, you should add a girdle of Giant Strength and a +5 or +6 weapon to your calculations. If the character concerned happens to be a Kensai, they get thier own bonus as well. Of course, even in SoA, a character wielding Crom Feyr will hit for a lot of damage...

    Human Kensai[12] (SoA: Chapter 2)

    Celestial Fury +3: 1D10+3 = 4-13
Grand Mastery = +3 (after the un-nerfed tables mod)
    Kensai bonus = +3 (+1 every 4 levels)
    Girdle of Hill Giant Strength:19 = +7

    Total Damage = 17-26

My Kensai was hitting for 45 damage per hit...normal damage, not even critical...with the Staff of the Ram +6.

Basically get a weapon with as much extra damage (Flail of the Ages etc) and get as much STR as possible...(Crom Faeyr, Girdle of XXX Giant Strength etc).

It seems that we had communication error on the level of character level then. Thanks.
