[IMG] hmm.. has anyone ever created a new character to replace one of the old ones? I mean not only a custom face and soundset.. no no no.. I mean new everything. eg. if making a female one: beautiful face, sexy voice, nice stats, great appearance AND interesting dialogue..
Everything else in np but the last one.. I personally have to bury my dreams there, but you people who have some coding skills.. why is there no custom characters?! I want to have custom romances and meet new interesting people and replay! :)
I am very suprised if there isn't none.. (I haven't found atleast) since BG people are pretty fanatic. :) Or is there a major problem blocking such attempts?

Thank you very many. Shooting coming at us.

You can pick a five or more of those from downloads section here.

To be honest, I haven't time for unique chars and others are using that lame ShadowKeeper instead Hex editors - so ask elsewhere.

Before you get too excited, I'm pretty sure that the charcaters you can download from this site do not come with their own dialogue and romance options.

Yep.. those are just sound- and facepacks. And I can't see them bringing a "real" character in the game..
    But what a shame.. :(

I think no one has done it because it would involve a lot of work for all the dialogues with all the different combinations of NPC's, and the PC, involve advanced knowledge of the engine, voice recording, writing skills, modifiying the game to add person in new location, and a host of stuff that kept the programmers only adding the NPC's that they did.

Don't think it is going to happen.

(I would like to find out how that person did those custom kits, I would like to be able to create a custom character class kit out of the various ones out there. (I was thinking of a variation of the Kensai who is really a samurai. Katana, Wakazashi(?) and Long Bow only weapons allowed, Kai powers without the mastery progression, allowed to wear non-metal armors, something like that.)

I know that the team BG infinity engine editor has a dialog.tlk editor but I don't know how to work it.

Bah. Samurai. Pampered nobles who can barely wield an honourable katana and wakizashi.

Can't stand up to us Kensai who are true masters of the blade.

But seriously, if anyone can come up with an editor that's user-friendly, it'll be nice.
