Could I get by with this?

    I meet all the requirments for NWN and then some. What I'm lost on is that I dont think I have DirectX video & sound card. I also dont have a GeForce card, but I do have a top notch sound card.

    So will my computer run or not?

    Of course your PC will run. However I doubt if NWN will run... No, just kidding. WHat kinda Videocartd you have? Voodoo, ATI Radeon or Rage or a Matrox? NWN will also run with those videocards. That the cards are not compatible with DirectX 8 is not a problem, for the main parts are the same as in Direct X 7. DirectX 8 contains some additional features, only these features will not be available for you. The things you'll miss are not important for the game.

    Just make sure you DO have DirectX 8.1 installed.

    Not necessarry, NWN installs that automatically when you have an earlier version of direct X installed.
