[IMG] I reckon it's less than 5%. 5% is about 326 people and there's far less than that that post 'regularly'.

Ofelix - I guess it must mean that. Imagine what the other 95% must be like . . . . .

Further stats: a whopping 1730 people have registered but never posted a single thing. That's about 27% of the entire 6512 members. That's a lot of lurkers.

But all of you are forgetting about all the lurkers that don't even bother to register.

I was a lurker for a couple of months before I bothered to register

Yes, you are right. For example, right now there are 17 registered users online (excluding any who for some reason are hidden), along with 19 guests. So the population of unregistered lurkers is likely to be colossal.

I have to wonder why someone would want to be hidden from the list. Why would they not want anyone to know they're logged in?

Maybe they're just taking the "hide in shadows" thing a bit too far? :shake:

I originally found this forum because it was linked to the official NWN website. I joined because I had some question about the NWN game. Now I don't play the game very often and I hardly ever go to the NWN site but I still love this website. It's not so much about the games, it's the people here I like. It's also the only community that I actually feel a part of.

Well, two recent (and popular) polls (the 'sexy' one and the 'ancientness' one) have received about 100 votes. This is probably a reasonable proxy for the people who have visited those polls in the last couple of weeks and are sufficiently interested to vote or post.

This would work out to 0.01% of the total membership of SP. Even, if you include the fact that a significant portion of people might only look in / post in the gaming related forums, it is still quite a bit lower than 11%.

    [IMG] if 100= 0,01%
    Then 1000=0,1%
    and 10000= 1%

    Finally 1 million = 100%

Congrats with the million members Tal! :D

    ..Sorry Harbourboy

    ROTFL!!
That's hilarious Nobleman! (err...no offence to Harbourboy)

I can remember the good ol' days...I can still remember the 3000 mark and how excited everyone was (Tal was even wearing a big, goofy, multi-coloured hat with the number 3000 embroidered on the front...in silk...spidersilk....)...
I'm beginning to feel a little old...I can't remember if I was around when SP hit 2000, but I think I was here when we hit 2500...or was it 3500? So confused right now.
