[IMG] I've noticed haste only effects one party member instead of the group. I'm getting along well without using it anyway, but I remember the haste fests of yore. I usually summon an undead, like one of those scythed-for-arms ones (bone golems?), haste him and do the rest. Am I wrong about this though? I haven't had my wizard use his, just my bard.

I think it's always worked like this in IWD1 too. One person only.

An "improved haste" spell becomes available later on....and it seems like my party didn't tire as quickly as what I remember in IWD1. It's definitely one of my favorites! ;)

    Forgotten already? :)
In IWD1 (and 2ed in general), Haste had an area effect that hasted everybody, plus giving one extra attack, and everybody got tired afterwards. Improved Haste was only for one target, but it *doubled* the number of attacks, and I think you didn't get tired afterwards.

The new 3ed (IWD2) Haste is targeted at one person, gives one extra attack, AND +4 to AC, and you don't get tired afterwards. Mass Haste (called Improved Haste before the 2.01 patch) does the same, but affects an area. I don't think there's any spell in IWD2 that actually *doubles* the attacks (or is it perhaps a Priest spell? and you get tired afterwards).

Well, I never used Haste more than once in any IE game, so I wouldn't remember. ;)
Thanks for the more detailed explanation.
