I'm feeling rather pleased with myself over something quite silly. Offline I get quite shy about people reading my writings or seeing my painting and things like that. I know I'm not very good at what I turn my hand to and a lot of people I know are more often than not harsh with their words when commenting on my work, probably doesn't help I have a lot of talented friends in various arts and other areas. But I was talking to Kev about why I couldn't paint my dryads without the internet (which confused him for a moment ) I don't have a copy of the Celtic Tree Calander to hand so I have to look up the trees involved and also look up detailed pictures for the bark and symbolism associated with the tree. I have two units of thirteen Dryads (plus Branch Nymph for each unit I'd like to fill my 5k list) and each tree is painted differently - granted there will be 2 Birch, 2 Rowan, 2 Ash etc but all will be modified if appropriate (Vine and Reed for example) and all are painted to represent their month tree. He said it was a really cool idea and seemed really pleased with me, I can't help but feel like an over-excited puppy that just did a trick correctly for the first time and is getting heavily rewarded!

I now have a book with me now though so should be able to start painting without the internet for a while :)
