How about posting a list of bugs in the implementation of the 3.5 ruleset? I think it would be useful to know whar feats/skills/other stuff are broken when people are decidig what character to create.

For example, I just started the game (patch 1.02),
and I noticed the following things:

Rangers do not have the medium armor feat  I thought those are rogues.

The requirements in the manual for Eldritch Knight seem to be screwed up. You do not need the feats(Alertnes, Iron Will) and skills(Diplomacy, Lore, Survival) they mention.

Even if you pick a specialist wizard with a forbidden school, apparently you can still get spell focus in that school

The Spellcasting Prodigy feat do not seem to work as advertised. I.e., I do not seem to get the +1 to spell DC I should expect from a +2 to Int.

I am sure there are more

Nope. Rangers only get light armor proficiency automatically in 3.5; they got medium in 3.0.

That does not make any sense; Hide armor is medium. But if the rules are like this...

Another thing which looks like but I am not sure if it's a bug: Mage armor stacks fully with deflection AC bonus from rings now. It used not to (you'd get only the nondeflection part).

I think mage armour gives armour AC now. So it won`t stack with bracers of armour anymore.

It should never have stacked with armor from Bracers or armor. Mage armor is an armor bonus not deflection. Just like Shield is a shield AC bonus.

Now spell focus gives only +1 to spell DC?

Yep, only 1. Really should've never been +2 like in 3.0, was way overpowered, with spell casting prodigy, hedband of int and all that a level 14 wizard could have a DC 28 7th level spell... which is wwaaaayyyy too much.

Now it's cut down to only 27.. but hey, every little bit counts :p .

Yeah, right, DC of 28 versus save modifiers of order 20. Seemed to me that you could hardly touch the monsters in NWN1 if you did not take Greater spell focus in something. Let's just hope that the saves of the NPCs are adjusted accordingly.

Also, this means that the Spellcasting prodigy feat works properly. I was counting +2 DC from spell focus.

Now Fear affects party members? the description does not mention this, but I seem to remember from NWN that party members should be safe.

Also, Cloud of bewilderment affects party members, which is in contradiction with its description. And of course, enemies seem to be immune to damage/effects from AoE spells cast by their allies.

Another funny thing I noticed is that my wizard gets a haste effect on him at times. That usually happens when I have ghostly visage on, and cast haste on a party member. very strange.

Haste is area effect. Fear always affected party members.

One thing I noticed was that the description of Flame Strike says only the fire damage portion should affect allies, but I was getting damaged by the divine portion as well.

Later on it didn't matter because everyone in melee had evasion/improved evasion.

I found 2 "bugs" with my 1st character. As my favourite character has historically been a female Drow, part cleric part whatever else - imagine my horror to find that the favoured class is wizard.

This is NOT how the drow work. They are unique. The male is a wizard, the female a cleric - as far as I know, the only race (including all monsters) that has a different favoured class depending on gender.

But I continued on, to pick my deity. Imagine my further surprise that, instead of being greeted with maybe 4 or 5 domains to choose 2 from, it got 20+!

This is also not correct. How can Azuth pick Nature and Hatred, when they SHOULD only be allowed to pick 2 out of Illusion, Knowledge, Magic, Law and Spell?

And of course, the obvious "bug" - the fact that the other characters cannot multi-class. That in my book is quite a huge desecration of 3.5e rules...

They are not YOUR characters, that's why you can't MC them :p

There's quite a good list of variations on the A Land Far Away forums, here. I'm not sure how accurate it is, nor if there is much missing, but it's a start.

[Edit] Just realised that that might not be viewable by everyone, so will copy it below, because I'm just such a kind guy ;)
