Bug in Irenicus Dungeon...?

    [​IMG] So here is the problem: I have SoA with ToB installed (no mods or 3rd party files, except Baldurdash's fixpack) and when I play in single player mode when I kill Illych (the duergar, to take the acorns) I take the Mail of the Dead +2.

    But when I play in multiplayer I get a simple leather armor. So where is the problem? Is it a bug?

    Please make SP fixpack compatible with ToB, would you? :roll:

    That's like saying I have no car, just that dragster in the garage.

    The point being, the Baldurdash fixpack changes about the half of items in the game. I'm not saying that this is due to his fixes (there are too many to know by heart in that pack), but it's quite possible.

    I like starting everithing over, so I quite experienced in Irenicus's Dungeon... :)
    I think if you kill the leader duegar first, or use magic against them (fireball), you will find that Dead Man's armor. I am not sure in, but i found that only theese times... Maybe I am wrong.

    The SPfixpack will have two more updates and that will be it's finale concerning SoA (yes, not much things are left to deal with). The second update however should be ToB compatible! I plan to make the fixpack useable for both no-ToB and yes-ToB options.

    However, it will still be only for areas from original SoA. But... patience ;)

    [EDIT]
    Illych should always drop Leather Armor. Mail of the Dead appears only on random occasions in the first dungeon and there's no difference if you're playing single or multiplayer game.

    [​IMG] And I told Sirdan there's no randomness in BG2. Is this the only case in the whole game where an item drop is random? :heh:

    That's odd, every single time I've gone through the dungeon (more times than I can count on my fingers), Ilyich has dropped the mail of the dead +2. And yes, I've done it with ToB, without ToB, and even after re-installing and re-re-installing the game. And he has always dropped it.

    No this is not the only case with random items, and Mail of the Dead is not the only random item to get. Remember some old posts about Claw of Kazgaroth and some other "suspicious" items in initial dungeon noone believed that are gettable? They are gettable. But not always.
    And Illych NEVER dropped the Mail of the Dead in my game, Volar. But did dropped some other things :p

    Ex, those items only appear there if you had them on the character you imported from BG1 into BG2...

    Argh! Yes, Tal, you're right!
    I'm crazy, I've been looking to a wrong table *sigh*...

    He should get that armor from Illych unless he was playing a previously made hero.
    If his hero had any of these items in inventory, there won't be Mail of the Dead on Illych but one of these:
    • Protector of the Second +2
    • Plate Mail +1
    • Missile Attraction +2
    • Chain Mail +3
