Are you SURE the MOD is in the blood pool if you side with Bodhi? When I did it, there was nothing in the blood pool, the cursor won't change...

EDIT: I was completely wrong, don't know where I got that idea...

There are a number of good axes fairly early in the game, and I don't think that's a good reason to choose one path or the other. I don't remember being able to get that mace on the evil path either.

@JWN - Crystal, sir! Sorry, but your post read to me as a bit snarky. This was the first time I'd played a single-class thief and accepted the guildhall. I wasn't sure if this was what Bioware intended to happen or something that got 'fixed' from Baldurdash.

I'll start up another evil party and go through. I'm fairly certain you can get the MoD working for Bodhi. Now what am I going to play???

@ Capt Massacre - The one that in the hidden room, not the big old well on the east of the Bodhi's lair.

It's in the pool and you can get it by same way you got it when you sided with shadow thieves.

@kuemper: I apologize if that was written badly, absolutely no offence intended. I was just trying to clarify as precisely as possible, hence use of caps.

You also get the ring of djinni summoning if you side with Bodhi.

@ nekojusan - whichever you take to side with, you can always get Edwin. just do the Bloodscalp's quest and take him with you. done.

There's no relation between Bloodscalp's quest and siding with Bodhi, or Linvail.
