In order, Fallout 2, Torment, BG2, Fallout 1, BG1, Daggerfall(yeah, so you couldn't actually talk to people, the storyline was difficult to start, and it was buggy...but it was still fun)

I would like the M&M series if there were any real conversations in the games.

My all time fav is Fallout 1, mainly because it was the first one I played and it's still a classic in my eyes. Then it would be closely followed by Torment, BG2, BG1, IWD, Fallout 2.

Fallout's story line is (no real spoilers): There was a nuke war that pretty much wiped out humanity. Your parents were some of the lucky SOBs who got to go into a "Vault" before the nukes landed and spent 80 years under a mountain in a self contained environment. Unfortunately, your water purification chip just broke. You now have 150 days to find another water chip. Good luck. There are of course several twists to the plot, and getting the water chip is maybe a third of the game.
