A bit hard to cut meat open with slats under it. :p

I'm surprised how many people eat grilled veggies.

Why? Just use the knifey edge of your BBQ tool thing to dissect a test piece when you think it's just about ready.

I don't do barbecue, but I do eat a lot of barbecued foods. Veggies like carrots, onions, eggplants, bell peppers, pork, chicken, fish, mollusks (squid, octopus, cuttlefish), crustaceans (shrimps, mussels, clams, etc.), hotdogs and sausages, and some food that most of you would cringe like pig/chicken intestines, chicken feet, pig's ear, etc.

Depends if we are talking about backyard style barbeques or in do-it-yourself restaurants. Barbequing a sausage for a hot dog is great for the former, but really rather lame for the latter.

In restaurants, it's mostly pre-cut meat (chicken, pork, beef, lamb, ribs) and seafood (shrimp, mussels, scallop, octopus). On the beach, I particularly like corn on the cob, marshmellows (we don't go camping to use an open fire so we do it over the barbeque grill instead), and yes bananas also. For our bananas, we slit it open and put chocolate inside so that it melts into a sweet gooey treat.

I hardly ever bother to get the outdoor grill going, but when I do, I cook steak, chicken, burgers, and sometimes sausages. I am also a big fan of the instant-read thermometer.

We barbeque alot. Mostly steaks, burgers and chicken. Sometimes hot dogs, sausages, tri-tip, fish, and veggies. I find it much more convenient since it doesn't heat up the apartment and doesn't create as much of a mess.
