Is barbarian movement speed upgrade of "10 foot" bigger or smaller than +15% Dash gives? I want to make two-handed heavy-hitter but it's hard to keep him in second line when he's getting everywhere first. Giving everybody else Dash seems like only solution.

Base is 30ft and decreases while encumberred. Supposing we aren't talking about encumberred characters, the 15% Dash bonus should be a bit less than a half of what a barbarian gets.

You can slow down a barb by putting him in heavy armor. IIRC, heavy armor negates a barbarian's speed bonus.

EDIT: You'd have the same problem (if not worse) with a monk in the party. Some classes are inherently faster than others. Also note that the short races seem to be a bit slower than the taller races.

But does Barb speed and/or monk speed stack with dash and/or with each other?

@Wanderon, I don't know if Dash and monk (or barbarian) speed stack. I assume that they do, because I've never seen any language saying otherwise. And most of the docuementation has always seemed pretty good at telling you when not to take a feat.

As for monk and barbarian speed stacking ... well, technically, the issue should be moot, since monks can only legally be lawful, and barbarians can only legally be NON-lawful. However, since Wiemur's EoU mod can let you ignore this, it is possible to combine the two. So would they stack in that case? I do not know.

Ahhh yes I keep forgetting about the silly alignment thing with the monkees and barbs...

I was never sure if the dash would stack with the barb speed and never quite figured out how I might test it to find out...I suppose I would have to have two of them and let them run a foot race...LOL

Just make sure that they're of the same race.

Don't put a human barb up against a ghostwise barb. ;)
