    Never been a big Armstrong fan, but mostly because following biking does nothing for me. But in this case, I think they are both knuckleheads. Two huge egos ramming into each other. Unfortunately for Lance, he is getting older, though 3rd place is still a pretty awesome finish.

    To be fair Armstrongs status within the team changed a lot during the year. At first he was supposed to aid the captain (Contador) and then after a while he was one of the many captains within the team, it's quite obvious Contador becomes frustrated by that. It becomes even more obvious when Bryneel and many of the riders are former team mates of Armstrong. I think it's fair to say that Bryneel would have loved for Armstrong to win, even more than he wanted Contador to win. Then there's of course the critique that Armstrong launched against Contador's tactics in twitter, something that I'm sure did not make the Spaniard exactly happy.

    In Lance's defence though when all chips were down he admitted that Contador was a better man in the race and gave much praise to the Spaniard in terms of his cycling performance. So he's lashing out is not just sour grapes, he's allways been very straight forward compared to Contador who is often quite reserved. Whatever happens I'm positive these two won't be riding in the same team again and I doubt neither of them will continue with Astana seeing as Kazakhstan's(sp?) favorite doper Alexandre Vinokourov makes his comeback next year and will probably claim the team for himself.
