This question is about how to take the exalted feat Anestral Relic into epic levels.

Maybe someone has had experience with this feat or simply thoughts on how to work this.

Here's the value progression of the relic
    3rd-1,350 gp
    4th-2,700 gp
    5th-4,500 gp
    6th-6,500 gp
    7th-9,500 gp
    8th-13,500 gp
    9th-18,000 gp
    10th-24,500 gp
    11th-33,000 gp
    12th-44,000 gp
    13th-55,000 gp
    14th-75,000 gp
    15th-100,000 gp
    16th-130,000 gp
    17th-170,000 gp
    18th-220,000 gp
    19th-290,000 gp
    20th-380,000 gp

now simply contining that progression is workable, but this supposely superior weapon quickly becomes inferior to epic level weapons who very quickly pass the million mark in market value.

Thanks for any insights or other information involving how to deal with this feat.

I remember seeing something about this somewhere I believe in the Wizards forum though I dont remember where. It did hinge on a formula however. The amount of gold you could invest in your weapon is like half your expected gold you would have at your level. Now it may not be half but it is some fraction such as 1/2, 1/3, or 1/4. I do not have my DMG with me so I cant tell you the exact fraction but if you go and check the DMG and the values you just gave and do a little math I am sure you will find the correct ratio and then voila instant epic progression. Good luck!

actually in theory Ilmater if that chart can be progressed you could make an ancestral weapon that rivals the strength of an epic level weapon. I couldn't tell you how to at the moment i don't have any of my books on me but im gonna look into it and see if your theroy of the chart going on works and if i can make a weapon that will rival an epic level one.
