    Main Characters:

    Aurilia Aurilsdottr
    Nephilim, Cleric of Auril

    Abilities: Str 12, Dex 14, Con 20, Int 11, Wis 20 (22), Cha 18
Skills: Concentration, Diplomacy, Heal, Hide, Intimidate, Knowledge (religion), Listen, Move Silently, Spot
Feats: Artic Adaptation, Endurance, Improved Critical (battleaxe), Skill Focus (Intimidate), Weapon Focus (battleaxe)
    Alignment: Neutral Evil
    Domains: Cold, Evil

You see a tall, graceful, snowy fleshed woman of divine beauty, her eyes are an icy blue and her hair is long and blond, almost white. Aurilia's torso is covered by a well crafted and well polished magical breastplate covered in the holy symbol of Auril; large white, feathery wings sprout from the back of the armor. A robe covers the nephilim's armor, as well as her legs and arms. She constantly fingers the masterwork battle axe, covered in the holy symbols of Auril, hanging from her belt. Multiple holy symbols of Auril hang from her elegant neck.

    Icebrand
    Dekanter Goblin, Barbarian

    Abilities: Str 23, Dex 14, Con 18, Int 12, Wis 12, Cha 7
Skills: Climb, Handle Animal, Intimidate, Listen, Spot, Survival
Feats: Endurance, Improved Critical (greatclub), Power Attack, Weapon Focus (greatclub)
    Alignment: Chaotic Evil

You see a male creature with orange-red skin who is roughly the same height as a dwarf, but tougher and more muscular, as if his body had been designed with fighting in mind. A squat head sits atop a short, powerful neck. The dekanter goblin has an elongated snout with a rhino like horn at the end of the snout. Long, wiry, unkept raven hair tumbles half way down the goblin's back. The goblin's powerful hands are clawed and hold tightly on to a nail infested greatclub that appears to contain magical properties; a large quiver is slung over his shoulder, filled with javelins. A magical breastplate covers the goblin's torso, but unlike the nephilim, the goblin's breastplate contains no identifying marks. A slave's collar lies around the goblin's muscled neck, but no chain is attached to it.

The Thunder of Hooves across the Sky

The air was sharp and cold, as one would expect within the northern parts of Faerun and a frosty mist began to settle through out the land. Aurilia and her slave where sitting down for their evening meal, boiled venision, seemingly the best Icebrand could hunt down and cook up. Aurilia looked out into the mist rolling in, she loved nothing more then the presence of Auril's elemental and took a particular delight in harshest of Auril's elements; though this is hardly what Aurilia would call the harshest of Auril's elements, the weather would considered sharp by humans, but with Aurilia's upbringing, natural predispositions and bloodline, she hardly even noticed the cold. On the otherhand Icebrand did, but it was not the actual cold, dekanters where build to weather temperatures like this without suffering in the slightest, no it was something else, it was the mist itself, Icebrand was no follower of Auril, he was not foolish enough to believe that cold was always part of Auril.

"Maybe that traveler was right, maybe tonight was night the night to spend on the open road."

Yes, there had been a traveler they had passed earlier this evening, a strange elf, an albino elf with half-elf ears andeyes as black as the void. Aurilia was immediately hostile towards this being; Aurilia was that way towards all males possessing in fine and beautiful looks. Icebrand, as much as wicked creature, enjoyed being cruel for no reason, much like the Frostmaiden herself, but this elf, if he was indeed an elf, seemed unwise to treat in the way Aurilia did. Icebrand had never seen an elf like this albino elf with dead, black eyes before; the eyes where horrible, like they had seen far more then one should have seen. The creature seemed lost in sorrow when they found him but he seemed to force himself himself out when Aurilia and Icebrand stumbled cross the elf.

"I will take no warning from the likes of an elf. I am the beloved of Auril." Aurilia screwed up her face after making that comment, "No, I am the adopted daughter of Auril. I have no reason to fear the cold, my mother shall never allow the cold to hurt me."

Aurilia had made a comment similiar to that strange elf earlier tonight, for a split second, Icebrand was certain the elf was going to kill Aurilia for her lack of manners. Aurilia was a fool for one who was suppose to possess the great wisdom required to be a great priest, acted as she was a winter storm and could batter everything into submition without fear of retribution. That the Aurilites contineously told the young woman that she was a gift from Auril only worsened the situation; Icebrand was certain the girl had actually been kidnapped from southern lands, at the request of Auril or not, he had no idea.

"The cold isn't the only thing to fear. Things rize from the cold."

"Yes, Auril's creatures, like the wonderous winterwright or white dragons."

The mist began to intensify as the two argued.

"Auril doesn't control winterwrights and white dragons you fool! They'd kill you as soon as anyone else."

"Silence slave! No one speaks to Auril's chosen one in such a tone! I am her will and you will..."

The sound of distant hooves distracted Aurilia.

"Those hooves... they are coming from the sky..."

"Let's not stay around to find out what they are!"

"Nonsense, I run from no one."

In the distance, high up in the hoary mists, a white horse reared, a long haired elf entirely made of white, down even to the buttons of his archaically fashionable clothes, raised up a sword arm carring a beautiful longsword that was pure white. His face was beautiful, but sharp, the features where exaggerated and where unsettling to behold.

"By Auril, he is magnificant... could he really be made of frost?"

The white horse snorted, a cloud of icy mist coming from its nostrils. The rider became completely obscured by the white mist, but his horribly beautiful, otherworldly voice could he heard instructing his horse to charge. As the horse came barreling down upon Icebrand and Aurilia, the two lost sight of all but the horse's starry eyes shining though the mists.
