What Kind of American English Do You Speak?

Too short, not enough variety. I also had a couple of questions that I really didn't have an answer for. Agree with Fel; an easy course would be 'an easy A'.

Trainers? Now there's a word you only hear in Britain. Nobody else calls them trainers. I'd call them sneakers or running shoes.

Nakia, that depends upon the new slang words surely?

I mean I'd call an easy course a 'skive', but last year it would have been a 'doss', and the year before that I'd have called it a piece of *urine*

Route rhymes with boot; router sounds like outer (but with an r in front of it). I don't know why, but I use different sounds for these words.

And I call an easy course a 'Micky Mouse Course', but that's just something I took from a teacher I had in my second year in college.

I'm not sure where the Dixie question can be found or what Upper Midwestern means, but the rest makes sense given that I'm from NY and live in California.

"Minnesota" English. It means you speak english with a Scandinavian means of pronunciation while still using a midwestern word selection like "Pop".

    This quiz was complete bull.

Question 3 needed both since it depends on whether the bag is paper or the sack is plastic.

Question 5 needs an all of the above due to Coke actually being a drink and depending on the mood I'm in I'll call it Soda or Pop or Soda Pop.

Question 6 used to be a drinking fountain but is now a scuttlebutt.

Question 8 What is a cruller?

Question 9 should have had Cloverleaf as an answer.

Question 10 is either an easy A or a bird course.

    Question 11 is it's raining.

    Question 12 is catty wompus.

Question 14 I work out in shoes. Plain simple shoes.

Question 19 is either depending on the way it is being used in the sentence.

Many southerners I've met use Coke to refer to all types of soda. Every Texan I've so far encountered refers to everything from grape pop to mountain dew as coke.

I think I can say I'm more bland than anyone else so far -- I got a 75% on General American English.
