[IMG] I started playing through BG1 again this morning and was playing happily along until i reached beregost. There i hired myself as a mercenary to Silke. Well i'd misjudged her strength (it's been over a year since i played BG1) and her first spell to cast was lightning bolt. It zapped straight through Lazy Bonzo (my fighter) then Garrick (her servant guy) bounced off a building and killed her. I laughed so much when it happened and decided to share it with all of you. Has anyone else had any flukes like this?

Once or twice, I got Davaeorn (that mage at the end of the Cloakwood Mines) to drop a fireball on himself.

Yeh, I've had a group of goblins at the begining who all ran through thier own trap and died before they reached me!

Enemy mages nearly always kill themselves with their own lightning bolts, that's nothing new. So do I, which is why I don't use lightning bolt.

What goblins in the beginning? There are no goblins in Baldur's Gate.

[IMG] Perhaps he meant kobolds as they are the equivalent of IWD gobbos in BG1. And i'm sure i remember having kobolds set off their own traps on quite a regualr basis in the nashkel mines.

I installed BG1 last night, only playing two chars though. I got to beregost and the same thing happened, killed herself my fighter and garrick

    hehe

it was sad took me about 4 or 5 tries to finally get her, thankfully i had that magic missile wand on me =x

(give me a break im 2 chars both lv 1)

  7. Happened to me once, solo F/M/T 6 hitpoints, about 15 reloads, she kept killing me with lightening bolt, killing herself as well. finally got her with a bow when I somehow managed to disrupt her.

Funny thing is..before going through solo, I didnt remember that she shot off a lightening bolt, always killed her before she could get it off I guess.

    ------
Friend of mine had a problem with the guy in front of the Friendly Arm Inn, when he would attack my friends character, and my friends character tryed to fight back, the guards would begin attacking his character.

Of course. The ogre mage killed himself giving me the XP in the tunnels under The halfling village. I mourned him.
This is not surprising. Even Semaj killed himself...
Note: After watching NPCs, I realized that: Every NPC or group of NPCs can kill themselves with magicsc that damage themselves too.
Gorf&team can kill themselves with arrows of detonation, every mage who uses fireball or ligntning bolt can kill himself.
Did U know that In Candlekeep you can kill a Watcher with 1 arrow of dispelling?
