Considering they are both around the same price point, which one should I get. I am looking for a larger monitor that will support both my 2nd PS3 and my Asus G74 laptop both by HMDI. I’m leaning more towards the LED TV as they typically have 2-4 HMDI ports whereas a LED Monitor may one have one. The prices difference between the two is around $60. Thoughts?

Do you have anything in particular in mind?

Sounds like you don't need the tuner... do you need speakers to get the sound from your PS3?

Most monitors have at least HDMI and DVI connectors which are easily converted between (an adapter costs a few bucks), so you shouldn't have connection problems with any monitor, but if you need speakers, not all monitors have them (some do though).

$60 is a significant portion of the cost of a 24" screen, so if you don't really need the TV tuner, why buy it?

Speakers are definitely something to consider. I have my 360 hooked up to my 25" monitor, and until I bought new speakers a couple months ago that supported the aux cables I was having to route the audio with an adapter into the mic port on my computer and then out through there. It was pretty annoying needing to have my computer on in order to have the audio. Even now, it's mildly irritating on the occasions where my computer is off and I'm using the Xbox, because I can turn the system off remotely but I still have to get up and walk over to turn off the monitor and speakers.

Next time I think I'll be going with a TV.

After much debate I ended up with a 22" LED Sansui TV 1080p HDTV. It is super slim, 2 HDMI ports, VGA, TV Tuner, Composite, and a USB port. It was around $160 locally.

When I buy electronics I try to buy from a local shop, so if there is an issue within the first 30 days it is easier to return.
