Does anyone know how to get the 2 CD version to work without having to put in the 2nd CD all the time?
Or where I can go to find instructions?
    Thanks

It doesn't need a mod; simply copy the files on your HDD like instructed in the manuals (IIRC, ReadMe should mention this too). If it still asks for something, try a no-CD crack.

Just, uh, don't ask for a no-CD crack around here. If I remember correctly, they're quite frowned upon.

And you want problems? I can't even finish my game because I lost the play CD. I'm going to have to shell out another 10 bucks or so just to play a game I have fully installed on my computer. Not that 10 bucks is that bad or that it's not worth it.

Oh, lucky me, I don't even have to search :) Could you guys please tell me if there's any significant differences between the 4Cds version and 2CDs ?

I just got out of the Mortuary so minimum spoilers if possible, thanks ^^

The 2CD version is already patched with the official version 1.1 patch. If you have the 4CD version, and you haven't already, you should install this patch. It doesn't change the game significantly but it does fix a number of functional errors.

The 2CD version also has a nasty, unfixable new bug present (luckily there's a workaround for it, but it's still annoying).

That's not the bug Taluntain is referring to. Have you patched the 2CD version?

What exactly happens when the error occurs?

Well its when ever I just simply try to play. Anytime I hit play, or anytime I use the shortcut or even the .exe file itself. It just gives me that message and well thats it. And I have patched it with the unoffical patch, however it was doing that before hand.

Did you use any editors or install any other mods before it started doing that?

No. It has done this before when I bought a 2cd version. (so I bought the 4 cd version and it broke, and accedentaily bought a 2cd version again).
