in any case, it makes my Ranger/Cleric all the more powerful.
After BG1 21 WIS makes an awesome cleric, and 19 STR, 19 CON, and 19 DEX makes a pretty decent tank!

 

I think it is 2 extra third level and 3 extra 4th level at 21 Wisdom, Aldeth.

The lore bonus of 21 Wisdom is +20, while 18 is +10.

Though a PnP Half-Orc is considerably different with starting stats than it's done in BG2, so you wouldn't get such high rewards from a PnP Half-Orc C/T's WIS. But the components are separate, so you can cheat if you want.

CON 14-19 (instead of 4-19)

The chart for PnP seems more sensible. It's strange that it's possible to get more bonus 4th level spells than 3rd level spells depending on your wisdom.

 

Especially at 20 WIS (perhaps a gnome I/C who's gotten all three tomes...). I mean, 1 third level spell and 3 fourth level spells? And now, for the sake of selective quoting...

Ahhhhhhhhh. Does me heart good to hear that, laddie. And if you've a mind to change your game appropriately, here's the mod to do it.

 

I played a Half-Orc with the bonuses the tomes from BG1 added. He was so powerful early on that it took the fun out of playing. But on the upside it made fighting the bosses a little more even.

 

Hmm...reading this thread is giving me ideas...

How about playing an Assassin to lvl 39 and then dual-classing to Cleric?? Possible? I think so!!
