[Info] Resources/Downloads -- How-to & Troubleshooting

Step by step guide to getting your submissions published on SP!

  1. Taluntain
[IMG] Prior to submitting a resource/download for moderator approval and subsequent publication, please make sure that you have read and followed our submission guidelines.

Submitting your content is quite easy and straightforward:
    1. Make sure that you are registered and logged in. Quick registration with FB/Google/Twitter credentials is available.

    2. Within the Resources/Downloads tab, on the right side, click the "Add Resource" button. From that point on, the process is largely self-explanatory, but if you require any help or additional info, read on below. :book:

    3. Select the category best suited to your submission.

    4. In the Title row, enter a short, descriptive title of your content, e.g. "Egghead's Guide to IWD2 Powergaming", "Bill Hicks Soundset", "8 Star Trek: Voyager Portraits" etc.

    5. Pick a prefix best suited to your submission from the Prefix dropdown.

    6. In the Tag Line, enter a short, objective description of your download.

    7. STRONGLY PREFERRED: Upload your file. The only way to ensure that your file remains available to download for as long as our site will be around is to upload it to our servers for safekeeping.

    8. In the Description area, you can repost the relevant bit from your readme.txt, but you don't need to repost it in full.

    9. Tags are optional, but help search engines better index your content.

    10. To include screenshots of your submission, click on the "Upload Images..." button at the bottom of the form. Screenshots are especially helpful if your content is visual.

    11. Click the "Save" button and you're done!

    12. OPTIONAL: If you have submitted content exclusive to Sorcerer's Place and would like to get a custom avatar/portrait & title here on the forums, please PM Taluntain and request it.

If you need any help with the above or encounter any problems, simply post in this how-to's discussion thread and we'll be happy to help you!
Sorcerer's Place is a project run entirely by fans and for fans. Maintaining Sorcerer's Place and a stable environment for all our hosted sites requires a substantial amount of our time and funds on a regular basis, so please consider supporting us to keep the site up & running smoothly.
