I just wanted to say thank you for your contributions to the CO8 modpack. Just seeing it's features now and it makes TOEE, an already excellent game, that much better. Thanks again!

I could pretend to hate to admit that Dice is right, but I won't.
You also make me laugh. Needless to say: I like that.

Hey thanks DotW. I'm liking my 8350i. Nice phone.

Actually, it gave me the taste to pick my own 8350i back up, popped my SIM in and now using it. I'm pondering adding unlimited BIS on top of my plan, but when I pick my MotoDroid back up, a BlackBerry data plan is going to be useless on an Android phone.

Have you upgraded your 8350i to OS 5.0? If you haven't, it's definitively worth it.

Oh yeah, for the record, about DATA on Nextel iDEN...

BlackBerry uses compression, so the output of data is quadrupled. So more or less, on the 8350i, it is theorically ~224K, which is about the same speeds than EDGE, which was a software upgrade for GSM networks.

I own a Motorola i1, an Android phone for Nextel/TelusMike, and regrettably, I have found DATA to be somewhat painful with the i1. WiFi on the i1 works significantly better than on the 8350i, as my own 8350i just never worked with the WiFi network as my bro's flat, while the i1 picked it up and I was able to browse instantly.

I am not sure if DATA over WiFi is compressed. But at any rate, Nextel/TelusMike and iDEN are great... in terms of SHEER SPEED, DC is UNTOUCHABLE! PTT over CDMA, like VZW, is excruciatingly painfully long.

Haha! For a moment, I thought Nancy Haynes actually posted in the thread where you quoted her. :shake:...
