Anyone play this game? What are your opinions?
My wife works in a zoo as an animal trainer, I've volunteered and worked in one too. This game sparked quite an interest for me. I have to say, Microsoft did a pretty good job with this one. They apparently did their research on animals too. The requirements for proper plants, enclosure size, etc is pretty right on.
I currently have Zoo Tycoon and the expansion Dino Digs. I'm saving up to get the newest expansion Marine Mania. Its really fun to build a T-rex exhibit, name some of your zoo guests the names of people you are mad at (boss, co-worker, etc) then destroy the fencing and watch the T-rex hunt em down!

I have it sitting on my desk (got it for my b-day) and have not played it yet. Given your endorsement, I think I will check it out soon, maybe this weekend.

Jack, do you just have the basic or the expansions too? Microsoft has a site for Zoo Tycoon, has downloads of more animals and links to other sites with lots of other stuff to download for the game. Not sure what the rules here are for posting that site (I'll read them again and if I can, I'll post more info). If you just have the basic game, and want to add more stuff, I suggest you download it manually and place it into the proper folder yourself. Forgot which one. The game can do it itself, but I found that feature doesn't always work for some reason.
