So what are you doing for Halloween, those of us that do Halloween?

My plans are modest this year: wear my alien antennae (homemade out of chenille stems, pom-poms and a head band), my shirt that says "I Don't Do Costumes," and give out candy to the kiddies that come to the door.

I must be getting old not to do more - so let's hear from those with more ambitious plans!

We don't have halloween. They have been trying to import it here with mixed success but I quite frankly could not care less. Kids do trick or treat kind of stuff here near easter. Can't exactly remember what the day was.

Meh. We don't get many here, so I'll just hand out some from my own candy stash and call it a night.

Some of my fellow school mates and I are doing something called "Trick or Treat so Tots Can Eat," which is where we trick or treat for canned food instead of candy and then donate it to a charity.

Whip out the wide monk robe and the ceremonial dagger (freely borrowed from my bro's massive collection) to simulate the sacrificial ceremony that scared the s*** out of I can't remember how many kids and parents ever since I've done it.

My bro plans on whipping out a hockey mask, a green overall and the big machette.

You don't have to give 'em any stuff if they run away because we just scared the s*** out of them.

We don't do Halloween in Australia. Oh people try to dress up every year, and sometimes you get trick-or-treaters, but rarely.

Same as I do most nights: Sit home playing video games. If I want a scare I'll ramp up the difficulty...

I will be sitting in my living room and reading while waiting for the pathetically small number of kids to come to my house. I live on a dead-end street and there is no sidewalk on my side of the road so the kids generally don't bother with it.

Oh, and every 20 minutes or so I will be speaking with my mother on the phone to compare numbers. She usually has more kids than I do but it is always very close.

We don't celebrate Halloween here but they are trying to import it and each year sees a growing number of cut-out pumpkins outside houses.

Kids dress up and do trick-or-treating here at Shrovetide (seven weeks before Easter) but it happens during the day, not at night.

Halloween would at least have the useful effect of keeping Christmas decorations out of shops until November. ;)

That hasn't worked in the U.S., thats for sure.

I have to work Halloween night, so no real plans. I do have a cool set of orange fishnets to wear over black tights, so I'm going to run that idea past my boss to see if it's okay.

Well, i used to trick or treat 7-8 years ago, now i just dress up, go out, and get completley wasted...

This year im deciding between Mafia Ganster (did that last night at a party) or just keeping the Waist-coat and hat and doing an 1800's Cockney "respectable" buisnessman...

Halloween is an import here that I don't take particularly serious because I have no connection to it. It is not part of my culture and thus it feels artificial to me. I might go out though. Halloween is as good an excuse as any other. I certainly will go visit the graveyard on All Saints evening.

I am much more enthusiastic about 11.11. which marks the beginning of carnival. Then I will wear a costume, sing old songs and likely get drunk.

I'll dress in a sleeveless undershirt, boxers and a Darth Vader mask with headphones and a mic.

Then I'll eat the candy, drink beer, listen to John Williams, The Hives, CCR, Moby and play Star Wars Battlefront for ten hours in a row.

After that I'll watch some scary movies, alien conspiracies from Youtube and stay awake all night, pointing a flashlight to the dark corners of my room.

I'm going feed my kids a healthy early supper so I can take them out trick-or-treating and then let them binge on candy after. My husband will stay home and hand out candy and hopefully scare a few of the older kids :D .

So it's either death by candy or drunk off you ass for most people?
