good day all.

I have a (probably) simple problem.

My first party cannot rest in targos, because I have shocking grasp cast on my weapons...

now I get the message "you cannot rest at this time"

is there another way to get rid of it then to find a gobbo and get the spell cast?

I don't remember if you can target your own party members, but if your party's tank can survive the damage, let him take one for the group.

A bit masochistic, but...

 

If one of your party members has electric resistance you might use the spell on him without causing harm.
I never used that spell, maybe saving and reloading might clear the spell effect as with "call lightning" or "static charge". If you can't save,create an autosave.
Maybe the spell will run out if you wait long enough.
Casting another weapon creating spell or "dispel magic" might also work.
You can also try exporting and reimporting.

 

Uhm, if its cast ON the weapon just put the weapon on the ground and leave the area ?

I can't say i have used that spell, so i dont recal how it works in iwd2.

 

I have problems like this all the time. Sometimes it's really annoying when you are trying to save the game and it won't let you save or rest, therefore reloading is not a good option (because you lose everything that happened since the last save).

 

In this case it's ususally no problem getting an autosave by leaving the area and reloading afterwards.

 

I had this problem in the drider cave - my useless character could hit the damn golem to activate it! In the end I electricuted another party member - problem solved.

 

Just export and import your chars if any problem you think that can't be solved occurs.
