    I have started playing the game with only one member in my party, a druid.
    After reaching level 10 and 51150 XP points, the game won't grand me any more XP points, no matter how many enemies I kill.
    Does anybody else have (had) the same problem? Same thing happened to Baldurs Gate I when I was playing with a single character party (fighter).

    It's not the level cap (level 30). IWD2 is loosely based on D&D (not Advanced) which means that there is a challenge rating, i.e. you don't get XP if you kill creatures which are too weak compared to your own level. It leads people to 'level squat' that is not to level up to avoid getting no XP. You can add a character to your one man party, you will get XP again. ;)

    What is happening is that as your average party size increases, the amount of XP that you get for each kill goes down. If you level up too fast (as can happen with a one member party), you eventually reach a point where you get no XP for some kills because they are considered too easy for you.

    If you don't like that system you can download a mod that adjusts the moncrate.2da table so that you can get some token XP for each kill at any level (or you could just adjust the table yourself).

    That could be the most possible answer, but considering that an Orc Mage kill while Level9 would give me 120XP points, I don't think that while Level10 would give 0XP... :/

    Actually, that sounds about right to me. I don't have an original moncrate.2da table in front of me right now but a 120 XP gap between levels doesn't sound too wrong and what you're describing always happens with sooner to people playing the game solo. If you play with a bigger team, it tends to happen around Kuldahar.

    Either that or just add another new player into your party. You will start getting XP again since the average of your charecter levels is now lower.

    If you don't mind tampering with the game -- yeah, I'm talking to you purists out there, you know who you are! -- you can install WeiDU's "Ease of Use" mod and install the XP-For-Every-Kill patch. This guarantees that you get some token XP for each critter.

    Now, when I say token, I mean token...my L15 guys are getting maybe 25XP from targets. Divided among my five party members, that's 5 XP towards a next-level requirement of 15,000 XP...that is, .0003%. From a practical perspective, that's nearly the same as zero, since the token XP from the trifling monsters is still vastly outweighed by quest XP. But, it erases that icky feeling of futility, without any lingering guilt that you're making the game much easier on yourself.

    @Konstantine:

    Your druid can still reach level30, because

    1.) You still get quest experience.
    2.) You'll meet harder monsters you get XP for.
    If you do level squatting you can kill enemies in fell wood easily (chapter3) until you've reached the level cap.
