Wyvern call crashes the game

    whenever i cast wyvern call the game crashes
    im useing a matrox milenium g400

    does any one know a solution to this?

    there are many things you can try. Naming a few, you could disable 3d effects to see if the problem is with your card. Or maybe, the wyvern cre file or the spell file is corrupted ?

    This has never happened to me but if I were you I'd reinstall the game or use a better spell ;) .

    [​IMG] Appears to me that you are out of video RAM. There are a few things you could try:
    1)In the BG config programme turn off 3d spell animations.
    2)In the BG2 options knock the colour depth down to 16 bit.
    3)Edit the baldur.ini file and lower the MaxFramesPerSecond (gonig below 22 here is pointless - human eye runs at 22fps).
    4)Set the refresh rate of your video card down to 60Hz in your operating system settings.

    Agreed except the refresh rate. A refresh rate of less than 70 can cause eye strain.
