[IMG] I was just doing a dual class test when I made a wizard slayer with con 6 and he had only 23 hp, this would mean the average hit dice throw was 3!!!!!!!

what class did you dual class too? and having 6 con gives you some serious penalties as well

sorry, 6 might not give penalties after all, hehe. Not sure though. I'm stuck in 3e rules.

    [IMG] IIRC:

(I'm assuming you are using Core Adnd rules)

For constitution you get the following bonus's penaltys for HP rolling,

    Con HP adj
    1 -3
    2 -2
    3 -2
    4 -1
    5 -1
    6 -1
    7 0
    8 0
    9 0
    10 0
    11 0
    12 0
    13 0
    14 0
    15 +1
    16 +2
    17 +3
    18 +4
    19 +5
    20 +5
    21 +6
    22 +6
    23 +6
    24 +7
    25 +7

Only Fighters Get above +2 and although that is the 2ed rules (I think BG 2 is the same)

Also you have probably been unluck on your rolls, for example. A 5(-1) a 3 and a 4 etc. The -1 makes it seem much lower.

My BGII manual says that there is no hp adjustment for con 6. I dual classed to a cleric, but it was only a test. I was really thinking about a wizard slayer -> thief, that way you'll have one nasty backstab for mages :)

    btw, what does IIRC mean?

Are you sure you made a wizard slayer and not just a wizard? This sounds pretty fishy to me.

All multi-class combinations can also be dual-class combinations. It's as easy as that. :)

[IMG] Hmm maybe that has something to do with "dual" meaning two...

I never really understood those dual class rules nor did many others, just do a search on dual class ;), anyways I don't understand why certain classes/kits would be allowed and others not :(

[IMG] The 2nd Edition D&D rules are racist. And a lot of other things. But I think it is a matter of prinsiple on some of them.

eg. Pallidins and Rangers are *special* classes which when playing pnp d&d are hard to get and if you could duel class them it would make them too powerful. And seing as BG2 is based on these rules, they were incorporated into the game.
