I was thinking of starting anew solo game, and I was wondering if this dual class is actually possible, I was thuinking that I should start as the wiz slayer and go around doing all the quest's but never completing them and then dualing to theif. But the lack of healing and inability to wear magic item like ring of regeneration, means I would need to go all the way to Umar hill's just to get the Dragon slayer by which level I'm way too weak to kill Samia's party.

If this can be done at what level should I dual to and what item's and proficencies should I take? (apart from longsword because I need the Dragon slayer, untill then I'll be spending a lot of money on temple's)

I can picture this character becoming very powerful if he lives long enough to get the theif HLA's and regain's his wiz slayer abilities.

It can become very powerful. You will actually be able to become 'the' wizard slayer when you get the HLA 'use-any-item'. This will let you use Carsomyr (sp?) and rings/blets etc.
You'll probably want to use hammers, two handed sword, longsword and possibly some type of ranged weapon, I'd suggest axe.

Thanks, I was thinking of going 2h style and 2h sword and then dualing and go single weapon style as a theif with Celestial fury. (the dragon sword I think I'll only equip to heal but not fight with)

    and also why warhammer?

For nothing less than Crom Faer, no doubt.
I suggest you dual somewhere at levels 9-12 - anything less and your fighter-side will suffer, any more and if you're not willing for a lot of reloads, your character won't end up finishing SoA.

Weapon profs are up to you - but since you're a wizard slayer, try to have points in weapons that do elemental damage (fire, ice, lightning, acid).
It goes through the stoneskins, and helps disrupt spells. (In addition to your bonus)

Maybe I could dual at level 15 for the 2 points in two weapon style, and the extra MR.
But I need to be able to get my fighting ability's back for the Final part of SoA, if I try and run away from some of the fights and go to them later and doo all the NPC quests, would this be doable?

If it all work's out he will be very hard to beat early on in ToB I reckon, but there's still a challange in getting that powerful, so it will be a long time before it get's boring :)

I see you're really interested in this. ;)

In that case, the most sound choice to make your wizard slayer(15)/thief(?) would be to do some XP booming quests but not exactly finishing them to save the Quest XP reward for later (i,e. not talking to Nalia after finishing De Arnise Keep, not talking to Umar Hills Mayor after finishing the Shadow Grove, etc.).
This should allow your thief to level up as much as possible without having to fight later.
Then, as a low-level thief in late/mid BG2 focus on your set-traps skill since this will be your only useful sort of attack until you reach 12+.

Perhaps I should edit him to a wiz slayer swashbuckler. when soloing that would be the equivelent of a Kensai non soloed with a cheesy AC, MR and attack bonuses with all thief ability's.

Or another combination like a wiz slayer/assassin would be interesting

You cant have an edited multiclass OR dualclass character with more than one kit...

Just pick the class whose kit's more valuable to you and give that to yourself with Shadowkeeper...

I always play a fighter thief multi or a mage thief multi, and play a straight thief till i hit lvl 20 and then switch over to assassin, giving myself the assassin's innate abilities for that lvl... works the same way :)

It will be fun if planned correctly. You should begin all quests and end them after you have dual classed to thief so that you can get up levels quickly. You will need 3 million xp to get UAI and if you didn't already try this, then you will find that you Wizardslayer "allergy" to magic will mean that the time spent as a thief will be rather spartan, since you will be blocked from magical items except weapons and armour even during the time being a thief. Plan well for it and then enjoy the UAI.

So your saying it's not possible to start as a kit, dual to a vanilla class and then change the vanilla class to a kit?
I have SK I can use that to get a dual kit class.

    And what's UAI?

    Use Any Item is UAI.

SK only lets you set one kit on your multi/dual class...if you start as a kit, that'll show up. So if you change to another one, your first kit will disappear.
