[IMG] Do wisdom scores from 19 to 25 give you the immunitys from certain mind spells like in pnp AD&D?

Though this question should be in the D&D forum, I will tell all I know about this. I play 3rd edition so I don't know anything about AD&D.

IIRC, Mind Spells saving throws are not based on Wisdom but on intelligence. I think these stats only affect the saving throws against a spell so you are not totally immune to such spells but you will be able to make a succesful save vs spell many times.

The question is how this is in D&D. I can tell you how this is in 3rd Edition:

In 3rd edition wisdom gives you a bonus on the Will Save, spell saves are by Intelligence. The Wisdom Modifier is part of the bonus you can get on Will Saves. When you have no Base Modifier, Magic Modifier, Misc Modifier or Temporary Modifier and you have a Wisdom of 14 (ability modifier +2), you have a +2 bonus on will save.

The question is for the BG series. I know where to post my questions! I did say "like in pnp".

Well, as you may have noticed, there are still many differences between BG-D&D and p&p-d&d rules.

You don't suppose that is why he asked if BG uses this particular PnP rule, do you?

Yes Headbanger you did reply, but you did not answer the question I asked! You need to think a little before you start posting on every thread:)

You are right. I missed the word Like in D&D, I thought you asked how it was in D&D. As you cansee it's always early in the morning when I'm here and then I mightmiss some things.

Fortunatly, for those occasion, we have my always sharp brother Ragusa :) He answered your question, and I gave some more info you even didn't ask about... for free! :)
