[IMG] Right, i put in the Thief 2 disc and the istaller comes up, but it says that i can't run the installer due to fact that my desktop fonts are not set to small fonts (which are what the installer uses).
It tells me to right click on desktop, go to Properties > appearance, and then change the font size to small.
Herein lies the problem, i do not have "small fonts" as an option to change to. Just normal, large and extra large, font sizes. So is there any way i can somehow get small fonts for my desktop, and remedy this problem?
    Help please :( thanks

Why not just manually set the font size to 96 dpi?

    In Win XP?

Try using View: Font Size on any Windows Screen.

Double-click my computer. Click "View" at the top of the screen. Move the mouse down until you see Text Size. Then Click "Small" on the menu bar that pops up.

What year did Thief 2 come out? There are certain games that won't run under Win XP no matter what you do, since the OS is quite different than 98/ME.

(Rastor, he told he had no such option  )

What Rastor said, but choose the last option that allows you to set it yourself. It should ask of the font size, so set the value to 96. :p

Did you check the "advanced options" too? (If XP has it -I'm using W2k) If you still cannot find it, I can only recommend, deleting your harddrive, throwing the WinXP-CD to rubbish bin, and downloading the newest Linux and WineX -then start playing Thief II :p

I don't have that on my XP Pro system either.

Gehn, try going to Start -> Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced -> General

Then change the DPI Setting to normal (96). It should be the first listed in the drop down menu.

I don't think there is anything smaller than normal without an external program. If changing the DPI to normal and the font size to normal, then just go to the first tab, Themes, and revert it back to the default theme. Hope this helps..
