After some playing with really lousy groups of adventurers i have decided to start a new game, and eventually try HOF.

If someone feels for commenting my party, please do so :)

    TANK
Drow monk(1)/cleric(X)/rogue(1): The monk is for WIS AC bonus and rogue for "crows nest headband".

    MAGE
    Deep gnome Druid(12)/Illusionist(X)

    SUPORT FIGHTER/MAGE
    Human Paladin(X)/sorcerer(X)

    HEALER AND DAMAGEDEALER
    Drow cleric(x)/barbar(?)

Will hof be a cakewalk for my party? =)

As you have plenty of casters and a high 'summoning potential,' yes, yes it should be more than doable.

You should know that the hardest part of the game is chapter 1 when your character can be disabled with a single attack or spell and not HoF mode where you'll have extremely powerful spells and summons available and that you won't have your "crows nest headband" for most of or even all the game.

It's not unlikely that your so-called "lousy groups of adventurers" could do a better job taking you through the game than the party you're showing.

Your party will do fine in HOF! Take only one barbarian lvl for char 4 and take more only after you've taken about 20 cleric lvls.

The human paladin/sorcerer: There is no paladin faith that allows you to advance their levels after you take sorcerer levels (if you take paladin levels beforehand). It's not really a great idea to take a bunch of paladin levels together, since doing so at the beginning will severely weaken your sorcerer's ability to cast, and doing so later will not allow you to benefit much from paladin levels.

If you like barbarian, it won't cripple you, but fighter levels are better. The +2 hp/level benefit doesn't really show unless you've already taken 10+ levels, but the extra feats fighters get benefit you much sooner. Rage is pretty pointless when you can use Draw upon Holy Might.

I've never played high level barbarians, but isnt the damage reduction quite nice?

You can use the custom dll thing that allows paladins of mystra to level up as sorcerers without losing the ability to advance as paladins. I dont think its cheap or unbalanced at all.

Doesnt the monks wisdom ac bonus only apply if you wear no armor?

Sounds good, you have your bases covered. Never played HoF, will probably try it soon.

    My party:

    Aasimar Sorcerer X
Drow Fighter 4/ Battleguard of Tempus x
Human Fighter 1/ Ranger 1 (so I didnt have to buy the two weapon and ambidexterity feats)/druid x
Aasimar Paladin 1/Morninglord of lathander x
Human Morninglord of Lathander 3/ Sorcerer x (was probably a bit of a waste of levels actually)
Drow Fighter 2 (extra feats are useful/ Rogue 2 (evasion and extra skill points)/ Sorcerer 1 (to remove the restrictions on specialist wizards)/ Necromancer X

Your druid/mage will severely lack any reasonable punch well into the HOF mode, unless you just take one druid level in the beginning and up your mage levels. I'm assuming this guy's just a decoy, right?

Other than that, looks pretty powergamey to me, and with just four persons, getting through the early chapters should be a breeze as well. Good luck!
