Why do you not question Minsc?

[IMG] I just realized that, after putting the stone harp and horn into the statues in the Elven palace... your PC ask everyone in the party to judge their loyalty towards you except for Minsc!

Why is it that way? Isn't Minsc part of your party too? He may be stupid but if you ask him if he would like to risk losing Boo in a fight against Irenicus.. wouldnt he think twice? Someone tell me why Bioware wrote Minsc off at this part...

it is a bug, normally you should ask everybody, though sometimes you only get to ask, lets say 3 or 4 people.

and you can't directly choose who to ask, if the bug occurs

***MILD SPOILER - only the atmosphere not the plot****

Hopefully you'll still get the input from Minsc at the start of the final confrontation. It is one of the real hilights of BG2 (for hampster and ranger fans everwhere). Besides why would you need to ask Minsc about joining you or not. I know it is polite to ask but in the case of Minsc and Boo it is almost an insult to ask them if they want to go and bash some evil :D

There could be absolutely no doubt at all as to what their answer would be.

Thinking about it though, that would be a good point in the game to do a charisma roll against your character to check if the NPC with no real grudge against Iranicus do decide to stick their neck out. It would certainly be a shock to any cheaters who minimised their charisma stats thinking they were unimportant and also sold the ring of human influence.

I guess you can consider it a bug, but it depends on where your NPCs are situated around you. If they are not close enough or not in your line of sight, you won't talk to them. For me, it was Valygar who didn't give me an impassioned speech... :)
