Who to have in Parvini's new evil party (+ why there is one 'honourable' cheat)

Yes.. yes.. I know this 'new' evil party has been in the formulation for quite some time but I have yet to start it.

As we have established... the NPC's are Edwin, Korgan and Viconia and you guys suggested Haer'Dalis, Jan or Jaheria to make up the numbers.

Here is where the honourable cheat Control + Q is intorduced... and also where the help is needed.

I need to find somebody that could act as a fellow NPC but is not too powerful (e.g Kangaxx or even a regualr Lich) or too weak (e.g Goblin... although I am taking one as far as I can). If the party was good alligned the choices are obvious. The Knights of the Order are perfect candidates (although I noticed for some reason their priest spells are not available). But the person must be of evil allignment.

Here's my short list (but I'm not sure if all are evil or if some are too powerful)....

Galan Bayle
Qualye
Renel Bloodscalp
Maev'er
Arkanis Gath (just be interesting to do)
That guy who owns the C.C.
Lord F's Mage
Tolgerious (sp.??)
That Spider Queen woman

Also does anybody know where I could get some good portraits for these.. I did download some from one site but they are all done on paintbrush and I can't figure out how to import them... they are not that brilliant either --> I wanted some that look like they are from the game

Hmm-I think that as far as power goes, Tolgerias or Lord Firkaag's mage would be the best. I'm not sure how the others work, although I think the owner of the CC is just a 0-level NPC, although I'm not sure.

Sometimes the post doesn´t show up for your browser doesn´t regularly actualize the page and simply reloads the old cached version. Therefore it can happen that people post the same post two times. I wouldn´t mind - however - iirc there are some posts about that you can find using the search engine.

Well I'm not exactly sure what you are talking about Parvini with the whole control Q thing, or how these people will become playable npc's. But as far as a worthy npc, I always liked Quayle. He isn't evil persay, but he always acted more evil than good for a neutral alignment in BG, plus I really liked him for how well his character and dialog were developed. Plus, if you like to have a cleric/mage along, he's a great choice.

 

For fighter take:
Sarewok
Laesonar
Bodhi

For mage take:

Shandalar the lich
Jon Irenicus

For priest take:
Faldorn
(I don't know any good priests in the game, do you?)

For rouge take:
Renal Bloodscalp
Arkanis Gath

 

You should really get that Kensai in the Temple district, that guy who carries the C'fury! He really fits in your party (if your not a fighter) and he has profency in katanas, also use SK to get his stats right ( exp. points and int wis cha)

 

Tin - please elaborate where would I find the first two fighters you mentioned and also who is Faldorn?? I think you missed the gist of my post... Irenicus and the Lich are far too powerful to take... I need someone who is like an NPC. I have already decided upon my main PC (Fighter - will dual to mage at level 8 or 9)and I think Renel Bloodscalp is a good pure thief. This leaves one place left for preferrably a tank to partner Korgan.

Crawl - contorl + Q is a cheat that enables you to put any character in the game into your party. It is a CHEAT... and is therefore BAD... but I am using it honourably ie. only to enhance the game as to acquire a purely evil party.

Nightal - Is he evil sounds good HOWEVER changing stats with SK??????? Who do you think I am shame on you.

 

Faldorn is the Shadow Druid leader at the Druid Grove. She's also in BG1 as a joinable NPC, because I met her in Cloakwood the other day.
Jon Irenicus in your party?!? Please! That's just plain absurd. The story no longer has any meaning.

 

I did the exact same thing. I played a theif and i took edwin korgon and vicona. then i got some weak ass fighter. he was at like level 6 or something. The answer to your question " can the people i use crtl=Q to,can they level up"YES they can i leveled up my fighter to 10 and im playing a different game at my moms and i leveled up a shadow theif from 3 to 11. I think there class has to be a class your main character can choose in order for them to level up. Some monsters cant level up loke golems. Some people might consider it cheating but i dont if you dont abuse it by getting some super powerfull person.
