[IMG] Inspired by the resolution thread, let's see which monitors people here use today.

For me, just one currently: Samsung SyncMaster 940BF (19", LCD).

I'm thinking of also getting a widescreen one to go with it...

17" CRT LG Flatron T710BH. Planning an eventual upgrade to LCD, definitively will be another LG, they've became my tried, tested and trusted brand.

My main display is the 15" LCD attached to my laptop. I haven't opened it up to see what brand it is though.

My other monitor is a 19" MicronPC CRT...not much, but it's big and it was free. :D :rolling:

17" CRT made by Dell (I've carefully covered up the logo with a sticker though)
Never really felt I had too great a reason to get a new one, it works, the picture/refresh times are good and I've got the space for it. I'm planning to buy a 22" lcd for my next comp, which will hopefully be soon.

Very sneaky...Although, I don't see the point in covering up a Dell logo. Dell makes good laptops and monitors... :rolling:

I have three Dell monitors: A 19" CRT and a 17" LCD for two older computers I use for reference and for special jobs, and a 19" LCD for my primary work computer.

Doing translations from home sometimes means I have to work in old versions of an application that can't (or at least shouldn't) be installed on the same machine as the latest versions. Hence the several different machines.

It's just that the Dell brand isn't 1337 enough for me - I'd never want anyone to think I bought a pre-made system or anything (custom building ftw!!) :p

Currently I'm running a Viewsonic 22" widescreen LCD on my main system, loaded with Win XP and Vista. It's great for office tasks, video, and newer games that support widescreen resolutions. I really like the extra space for text and spreadsheets also.

My second system, on the other side of my office, has a Viewsonic 19" CRT. That system is loaded with both Win 98 and XP, and I use it to play older games, such as BG, IWD, PST, Diablo etc. Widescreen resolutions are not natively supported by these games, at least that I've been able to discover. There are hacks for some of these games, but there are limitations, such as Black Isle games displayed in widescreen resolutions are played inside of a window, rather than at full screen. There might be better hacks out there, but I've not been able to locate any.

Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 71. The name's a bit misleading, since the tube is really a Sony Trinitron (renamed "Diamondtron" for branding reasons I suppose). It's a 17' CRT (non-flat), the only non-flat Trinitron screen I've seen in fact. It's also a surprisingly good screen. I got it from IT support in my university, who were about to throw it away because "it was too old", and after another 3 years with me it still runs great.

Hmmm...I wonder what the most "l33t" monitor brand is... :hmm: It would have to have a response time <2ms, be at least 24" or larger, have barbs for water cooling, CCFL lights on the outside with LEDs on the inside, with a custom modded bezel. :p :shake:

If something like that exists...someone has too much time on their hands. :rolling:

I have a SyncMaster 920NW LCD 19' widescreen and an Envision (I'm the only one who know this brand) 17' CRT Standard 4:3 stuff. I run 'em both at the same time, I like having dual screens.

I have an Iiyama 19" CRT... it's freaking huge (not the screen size, but the entire thing :p). It whistles if too much white is displayed on screen... that's why I like SP, this site is nice and quiet :D
