Where to find good Bows?

    I haven't come across any decent bows. Best thing my warrior guys have are composite bows. Also are crossbows on the same skill check as bow? Or is there a crossbow skill?

    Like my paladin who has ++ in bow. Will he use a crossbow just as well as a regular bow?

    Crossbows don't go under bows. (spoiler) The best long bow in the game is in the bandit camp main tent.

    think crossbows come under missile weapons. Go to a store and right click on crossbow to see what weapon profficiency type is needed.

    [​IMG] There's the Longbow of Marksmanship which is a pretty deacent bow, and the Protector of the Dryads which is a short bow and a favourite of mine. Aside from those two, it's just plain +1 and +2 bows that you usually find. There's some nifty crossbows knocking around too. Unfortunately i can't quite remember what they all do, but i'm sure there's an equipment guide in the BG section in games.

    Long Bows:

    I found three nice ones:

    One +1 Composite Bow and two +2 Long Bows of Marksmanship.

    Buy the +1 Composite Bow at a shop.

    Get one of the +2 Long Bows of Marksmanship in the Thieves Tent (Chapter 3).

    The second +2 Long Bow of Marksmanship can be pickpocketed from a ghost in the Firewine Bridge! :D
