Where is Cernd?

I am wanting to do the Trademeet quest, and I think you ahve to find Cernd for that. I was sure you found him in the prison in the Government district, but he doesn't appear be there. Is he somewhere else, or do I have to do something before he appears? BTW I'm doing the Shadow Thief missions.

 

You have to go to the bridge district- a messenger there will put Trademeet on your map. You find Cernd in Trademeet, imprisoned by the High Merchant to protect him.

 

Correction, you need to go to the City Gates and talk to a fellow called Flydian who will add Trademeet to your map. In Trademeet, talk to High Merchant Logan Coprith who will tell you that he's locked Cernd up for his own protection. Go down to the cells and talk to Cernd. He will add the Druid Grove to your map.

Another way to do it is to free Mazzy from the Shade Lord's dungeon. She'll tell you how to get there as well.

 

I thought Mazzy said where Trademeet was so you could help her sister
For her quest.

 

If you free Mazzy, but don't take her into your party, she says she's going home to Trademeet and marks it on the map. If you kick her out she marks your map as well.

 

For whatever reason she gives you the data (though you're right, she shouldn't be brought into the party to do this) it gets Trademeet on your map, and from there it's fairly easy to get the whole druid grove quest.
