As you probably guessed by the title I'm planning on making a party of six after the Wheel of Time character's.

I only recently got into the series about 6 weeks ago and finished the first book and can honestly say it rocks!

The main characters that I'm thinking of including are.

    Rand
    Lan
    Moraine
    Egwene
    Mat
    Perrin
And possibly Nynaeve (whatever her name is)

But first I would like a bit of help to clear up some unknown's if possible.

I think Moraine Would probably be a mage/cleric multiclass.
I'm not sure what classes the others would be because I'm only on the first book.

What proficencies and stat's would probably suit these people? if no one is sure about stats and profs, then just the class and race will do nicely, and I'll make up the rest as I go along.

Please leave out any spoilers from any book aft #no1

I should give this a try!

    Rand - Fighter/Mage
    Lan - Fighter
    Moraine - Mage or Mage/Cleric
Egwene - Mage, maybe a Sorceress
    Mat - Theif or Fighter
    Perrin - Fighter....maybe Druid?
    Nynaeve -Cleric
Thom - Bard of some sort

So given those classes I'd say for a part you'd want

    Rand
    Mat
    Perrin
    Egwene
    Nynaeve
and a sixth based on what you want more of

    enjoy!

I was just thinking maybe Lan would be a Kensai?
he practiced using swords as soon as he could walk and did little else but that. (some life :) ) I remember reading in the book that he thought Rand to fight two handed so maybe Lan used a bastard sword AKA the "hand and a half sword" and he only went one habded in the first book so single weapon style?

rand-->fighter/mage,swords(long, bastard), single weapon style(ive never read him fighting with 2 swords)
lan-->he could be a paladin, sword(long), two weapon or single)since he "protects" moraine
moraine-->if you could do cleric then dual to mage right away, because moraine is a Blue Aes Sedai, and her magic isnt that healing oriented. or you could do mage/cleric. she uses a staff...
egwene--> i'd say sorcerer, IIRC the book says shes a wilder(she has innate magic)dont know what weapon
mat-->you could make him the thief, if you do, swashbukler(assasin and bounty hunter dont fit him). spears/staffs
perrin-->berserker OR beastmaster(spoiler*****he becomes a 'wolfbrother', he can communicate with wolfs) axes(i dont know how you owuld do this with beastmaster)

anyway, thats how id make it. enjoy :)

    EDIT**
if you want to make lan a kensai...start him out as a theif, clua him to 3,000,000 xp, get UAI, shadowkeep him to fighter(kensai class) and change him levels and experience to match everyone elses. the reason i would do this is because he uses armor, which is restricted to kensais

I havent been able to make my mind up on something.

Should I have all six of them custom or just Rand, Mat and Perrin Because they seem to be the three main characters in the story and are the taveren (spelling mistake sorry) or is there some plot element that wold stop this from happening in WoT?

they are taveren, but they arent the only main characters...there basically protagonists, while the rest are main characters.

How DARE you insult Lan by calling him a Paladin  :D but been serious you would need to roll a long time to get Lan's str, Dex and Con right and giving him high enough int to be ic (in character) and he wouldent have 17 cha I think.

Paladin's in general tend more to acting like Golems for some noble order then self sufficent people that know how to think for themselves, and what god would Lan worship? he definatly seems reasonably intellegent in WoT, not brilliant but smarter then the average whitecloak I think

I don't mind a bit of cheating if it's to roleplay a certain character as long as it's not too over the top.

When Lan sung that poetry it took me about 10 minutes of rereading to convince myself I wasn't imagining thing's. And the romance thing he had damn near gave me a heart attack :D

The problem with this party is it's a bit weak on healing, so perrin would be best as a Druid kit or something.

Does Perrin ever use blunt weapons? if he does then would this mean that he could be in the party as a ranger/cleric? ranger because he's a wolf brother and cleric just because the party needs healing.

He sometimes, rarely uses a hammer, but the axe is his main weapon. I remember creating a thread like this a few years ago, make a search in the SoA forum for additional feedback.

Do you still remember the thread title?

If Lan was a Ranger then what would be a good racial enemy?

I'm thinking Rakshasha but that's only because there about the closest thing there is to fades, or whatever those big scary thing's that drive the trolloc fists are.

actually perrin was a blacksmith, so warhammer are ok i guess....later in the series he despises using axes, i forgot why. from a roleplaying view, berserker is the most sensible class for perrin... i cant imagine him as a ranger/cleric or a druid because he doesn't cast(or even KNOW) any type of magic/clerical spells.

You should do this with IWD2. Makes far more sense and has much better rules for character customization.

    Anyways:

Rand: BG2 Fighter/Mage MC. IWD2 Fighter/Sorcerer, with slightly more sorcerer levels than fighter levels.

Lan: Bg2 Kensai with katanas or bastard swords. Use Shadowkeeper to give him the thief's Use Any Item ability. IWD2 Fighter with Weapon Spec on Bastard Swords, with feats that make him faster and stronger willed.

Moiraine: BG2 Cleric/Mage MC or Sorceress. IWD2 Sorcerer/Cleric, spreading levels equally.

Mat: BG2 Fighter/thief MC using spears/halberds and throwing daggers. IWD2 Fighter/Rogue specialising in spears/halberds and using throwing daggers with slightly more Rogue levels than Fighter.

Perrin: BG2 Ranger dualwielding axes and hammers. IWD2 same.

    Egwene: Same as Moiraine.

    Nynavae: Same as Moiraine.

    Ok then any item recomendations?

    I have some idea's

Rand- Daystar, amulet of power, Vahliers Helm.
    (sp)

Lan- Celestial fury and later on Hindo's Doom, I also think that cloak of displacement is the closest thing to his colour shifting cloak apperance wise.

Perrin- Hangard's axe for ranged, Crom for Melee, Armour of the Heart, Helm of Baulderan.

Mat- Shadow Dragon scale armour, Belm + Dakkon's Zerth.

    Egwene- Staff of the Magi.

    Moraine- Staff of power.

I have no Idea who should get the Robe of Vecna Rand would make best use of it when he get's lvl 9 spells and HLA's no doubt.

I'm trying to pick these selections according to what would best suit the character personality and story wise, so powergaming is out.

And what spell school(s) would Egwene lean toward as a sorcerer?

I'd be more then happy to hear what you all think for any suggestions for changes of equipment :)

Hmmm....Matt uses daggers and spears, not scimitars. So will being a fighter/theif let him use the weapons the theif is restricted to use?

He can use the HLA use any item ability, which suprisingly allows a thief to use any item :)

But thieves can alway's use scimitar last time I checked can't they?

Thieves can always use scimitars and daggers, but not spears.
