[IMG] I've played BG, BG2, BG2:ToB and IWD2 and I have become a crazy fan of Black Isle Games ( In fact I'm playing BG2 for 6 time ).

I didn't know that Planescape was a Black Isle game too. I really want to know if it's a good idea to buy it. Is it similar to the others Black Isle games?.

I'm asking this because I live in Mexico, I don't know anyone who has played it, and the game is quite expensive.

In Mexico, these games are not so popular as Diablo or Age of Empires or Warcraft.

Torment is probably the best game Black Isle has ever made. A brilliant and huge creation with more dead bodies littering the place than their is in a mortuary. Trulie brilliant and trulie addictive. It remains SP's favourite.

The game is great, but it is more of a roleolaying experience than the other games black isle has released. Talking is way more important than fighting and high inteligence has a greater impact on your game than your strenght.
Atleast that is my experience, I have only played it once so maybe I'm wrong...

Playing Torment is like playing an interactive novel. I recommend trying to get your hands on it.

I REALLY do not recommend to start it, in the case, that you have something important to finish in the next few weeks. For me it was really a problem to keep in touch with the reality (and the project schedule). :) :coffee: It was a very nice and deep experience.

Quoting one of my friends : "This was for the first time, that I have experienced a Timewarp +20 days spell" :D

[IMG] BioWare made BG1, BG2, their expansions and NWN.

BIS made everything else. (IWD1, IWD2, their expansions and Torment.)

    Just to clear it up.

It's a great game. Excellent writing, characters, locations. It is not very combat heavy so if you enjoy that aspect of gaming, you may want to think twice.
It is one of the best, pure roleplaying games ever.

It shouldn't be that expensive. I saw it (with Soulbringer) the other day for $9 American currency. That's next to nothing compared to most other games.

On that respect, it's prolly one of the best CRPGs ever released, and certainly the best by BIS. There is a lot more dialogue than in any computer game I've ever seen, so make sure you prefer using your mind instead of your trigger finger.

That said, there is quite a bit of combat as well, just not as much as many of the other RPGs out there.

Torment will never be as popular as Diablo that 2-year old kid who doesn't know a word of English can play.

Torment is a game in which you seriously get a RPG feeling and not just "killeverything or wander around without a cause". I'm seriously warning you on not to buy it if you believe that anything except FPS and car races suck. This game is made for brains that need food, it is not ment for reflexes practice.
