I've never played anything professionally, but I was once an elite-level epee fencer: rated 17th in the US in 1992, and a member of the national champion team.

In 1992 I hooked up with Velcro and he got me into cycling. Our best season was about 5,000 miles in ~6 months, with lots of climbing and a 6.5 hour century.

Then I had a baby in 2000. These days chasing him around is as athletic as I get!

About a year after I learned to walk I learned to skate and started hockey at about... I dunno 7 or so I guess. Really little.

Played hockey through highschool along with football. I wasn't particularly good - my senior year I made 2nd team all state in hockey and honorable mention regional in football but given the region neither was impressive. Briefly entertained walking on in football in college but I would've made Rudy look like a superstar so...

Now I just run. I've run a couple of marathons, slowly, but actually did make it so *shrug, that'll probably be what I stick with.

Other than that I like to Mt. Bike, I've enjoyed rock climbing but have to borrow friends equipment, and hiking. I'd like to hike the pacific coast trail and appalachian someday if I can ever get the time - I have done part of NC's mountain to coast trail.

I've played tennis most of my life (high school first varsity was the best I did). I still play tennis, as well as basketball, on a weekly basis. I play golf once a month, softball once a year, and others even less. Lack of time (working too much plus a family) seriously curtails the sports -- and increases the weight. I am probably 20 pounds over my ideal wieight, 10 over what would be reasonable for me. (The ice cream doesn't help either -- it's just my favorite food group.)

In high school, I was on the Water Polo and the Swim team. Right now I'm too damn lazy to play any sports on a regular basis, but if I were to, I'd join the adult water polo, or swim team at the local rec. center. :rolling:

Neat. My dad played in two little league world series and won it once. Back then something cool about them was they always had a pro announcer - Stan Musial (sp?) announced his game one year I know. His older brother made it to one little league series and one once as well - good luck.

    I play hockey.

When I was 16 I was scouted by the Red Deer Rebels a WHL team (step below NHL), but due to size and 4 knee operations I didn't go farther. Now I just play for fun.

I played in the youth selections of a Dutch pro footballteam. Didn't make it to the pro's though, my interrest shifted to going out and chase girls. :D

Boxing and one other, rarer, hobby (in a way similar). A must if one is going to sit in a school for 8 hours and then another 3-6 hours at home.

I used to play football (soccer) but I quit when I was 17 as I finally realised that I was really bad. Right now I am looking for a real crappy team to join though. I could do with some exercise.

I used to do martial arts, but haven't done any sports recently. Maybe I should do some sports, but I can't think of anything I would like to do. I'll just stick with darts.

I played football in college for a year, then went on to become the captain of the cheerleading team.

In seminary I played lots of volleyball.

Now I lift weights and run. Also, I play swords with my daughter.
