What race(s) would you say I am? What about class and equipment for this awesome BG2EE game?

RP wise I'm thinking I'd make him a cross between an albino orc that was abandoned at birth because of his being white skinned instead of green. He was brought up by his father's elven side?? The background doesn't really matter for BG2EE but I came up with sort of a reason to make him a half-orc that looks like an elf?? The half-orc will give him a nice +1 str & +1 con.
I'm thinking of a stalker? Any other thoughts??

What about my equipment? What should I go for? I'm thinking maybe spectral brand and belm? Or maybe a good dagger instead?

Just on a curious note, if you cross an orc with an elf what race WOULD they be considered? :p

I named the pic if that matters??

Since that's basically Drizzt as an elf instead of a drow - ranger, and dual scimitars.
Heck, you could even kill the real drizzt in bg:ee to get his gear, twinkle and icingdeath, as well as his chain mail - or cheat it in via eekeeper.
Though if i recall correctly, if you walk around with his gear in bg2, you'll run into him again and he and his friends will not be friendly.

And yeah, orcs are canonically allready an offshoot from elves, so an elf-orc halfbreed would 'technically' be a half-orc, though you could make an argument for him being half-elf as well, just with orc blood instead of human.

Mixing an elf x orc = probably nothing. Really only humans will go around and sleep with everything - I am waiting for the first half-halfling, half-dawrf, half-gnome to appear. :D

    There's a half-dwarf in the Darksun campaign that's called a Mul I think.But that's Darksun which was only 2nd edition I think.
    A half-gnome sounds really fun.
Would a Kender be considered a half-halfling? I don't know anything about Dragonlance.

No, kenders are the Dragonlance equivalent of halflings.

LoL :) kenders all over Dragonlance are shocked that they are half-halflings not even a whole one - gotta love the alliteration. But really kenders are sort of the equivalent of halflings but without the furry feet, with a better sense of humor and a lot more chaotic in behavior and a greater tendency to borrow items from random strangers.

Usually the justification is that Halfling, Gnomes and Dwarves are not similar enough to humans to mate with them. though that has been known to change depending on the edition and ruleset.
The Orc race is originally an offshoot from Elves, so it makes sense for both to not only be able to have offspring with humans but eachother as well.

Like eyebreaker7 mentioned, Darksun has the Muls which are half-dwarf offspring, The Hackmaster rpg system has a race called gnomelings, which are gnome/halfling offspring, and in 3.5 the small races (gnomes/halfling/dwarf) while not being able to crossbreed with many of the other standard races, can have offspring with other races/creatures like celestials, dragons, fey, fiends and in the case of dwarves even with giants.
So there is precedence - if it really bothers you that much you could always create a mod to introduce your half-halflings into baldur's gate :p

To be fair, that's a feature of celestials, fiends, dragons, and some fey (like nymphs), not so much the humanoid races.

Although technically a third-party product, the Book of Erotic Fantasy has a crossbreeding table listed in it.

    In case anyone's interested:

Heh, funny - we were just discussing that garbageheap of a rulebook in the chat earlier today, i even mentioned this very interspecies breeding table.
The fact remains, that unless you mod the game you're not going to run into many weird combinations like halforc-dwarves for example.
in tabletop, anything goes - you can come up with your own pairings and reasons why certain races can or cannot have offspring.

What a fun list but why can a human breed with a dragon (imagine the size) but not mate with a dwarf? I mean you can even mate with a fiend or a giant as a human but no dwarf or gnome ...sigh

That's more of a dragon thing then a human/dwarf thing - seeing as powerful dragons can polymorph/shapechange into another race.
Which of course begs the question, if a human wizard polymorphed into a dwarf and got it on with another dwarf while polymorphed, would the same rules still apply ?

That brings the question of what polymorph and shape change as spells actually do. Are these spells true shape change spells or more of a semblance spell - you look it the creature but are not them sort of like an illusion but better. If you shape changed into a slime (assuming asexual reproduction) and decided you wanted a child could you through meoisis create another you? ;)

Well, with the 9th level spell True Polymorph, one can transform into any other creature with the same or lower challenge rating, and if concentrated on the effect for the entire duration of the spell, the transformation becomes permanent.
Furthermore the spell states that the target’s statistics, including mental ability scores, are replaced by the statistics of the new form, though it retains its alignment and personality.

At the end of the day it's all about your DM and what he will allow, or in case of a pcrpg, the options you have been provided with by the devolopers.

It's not about the shapechange, it's about the dragon/outsider/whatever. Shapechange simply facilitates an effective exchange of fluids, if you know what I mean.

But yeah, ultimately it's all down to Rule 0 when it comes to PnP. RAW only serve as a guideline.

lol can you even polymorph into an undead and a special undead at that plus being a undead beholder at the same time? I'd imagine that would be like polymorphing into an undead dragon (one made up of just bones) and I don't think that is even possible but it certainly would be interesting if you could polymorph into a lich - imagine all those mages that did it the hard way when you could it with a simple polymorph spell - gotta feel sorry for Kangaxx and those others that did it the hard way. :D
