What items increase STR? **spoilers**

    In BG2, the items don't really increase strength, so much as set it to a new amount. So someone with 6 STR can have his STR set to 19 and therefore get a +13 increase whereas someone with 17 STR would only get a +2 increase. This is the main reason why I don't like the strength giving items in BG2. I would prefer them to have a set increase in STR as opposed to a set value. That way, the high STR character still gets some bonus from having high STR.

    Dave Milward's SoA and ToB walkthrough (available for download here on SP) has a very handy index at the end, which helps to identify in which part of the game a particular item is available (for example as a quest item or for sale at a particular merchant).

    Don't forget the "strength" spel (mage level2) which grants 18/00 strength if cast twice in a row.

    Girdle of hill giant strength grants 19 strength, available from ribalds.

    the maulers arm +2 (mace) grants 18 strength, from the bartender in the copper coronet.

    belt of frost giant strength, strength 21, available from the demon knights in the kuo toa dungeon in the underdark.

    gauntlets of ogre power, strength 18/00, available in the planar sphere from a halflings corpse.

    girdle of stone giant strength, the room where you rescue priestess demin in suldanessalar.

    girdle of fire giant strength, yaga shuras house.

    angurvadal +5, liquid mercury from sendais lair and angurvadal from watchers keep.

    crom faeyr, strength 25, requires the hammer of thunderbolts, gauntlets of ogre power, girdle of frost giant strength and the crom faeyr scroll.
