    Are you trying to stay true to the portrait or something? He seems to be wearing an odd mixture of lamellar and splint armor (the chain, leather, splints, lamellas, and spiked plate are kinda randomly affixed to it) and a functionally awkward two-hander (or maybe a bastard sword).

    Yes as close to the pic as possible. There is no splint mail unfortunately. That was my guess but no luck there.
    Considering the sword is one handed I was thinking either a crude looking longsword or bastard sword?
    What about a helm, boots, gloves, necklace, rings, etc.

    What do you mean there's no splint mail? There's plenty of splint mail in the game. Doesn't look anything like that, but it's definitely in the game.

    If you're looking for specific items, I can't really help you. Nothing on your sprite or paperdoll will ever reflect that portrait even vaguely.

    Or to put it differently, Steve portrayed the hobgoblin as wearing armor clearly influenced by Eastern design and there are no such items in IE games, aside from katanas.
