What do you think about a mc mage/cleric???

    Because of the xp cap the magic skills will be mediocre with max level 6 spells. The priest spells will reach level 7 spells on the other hand.

    While a normal cleric is a hard target the mc C/M is a soft. Consider how using a the mc C/M effects your choice of other party members. Likely you will want a balance of hard and soft characters.

    Example:
    alt 1. Choosing Cleric makes room for a Mage
    alt 2. Choosing mc C/M makes room for a Fighter

    The only two multi class that I like is the fighter/cleric and the mage/thief. The mage/cleric is going to be way too weak as a protagonist. (If you are multiplaying, it dosen't matter so much!)

    The fighter/mage is ok, but I find the classes contradicting. Fighters need to get in close, while mages need to keep the distance. A cleric is still a sort of fighter, although weak when compared, and is also allowed to use armour. As a mage cannot wear armour, well thats my point.....

    But my views are on a more average gaming point, and not just about bg2. There are some classes which works better in bg2 because of the items available.

    i know im gonna get yelled at for this but my mates got the xp cap remover and we played as a mc cleric mage and made it to god level wich is sposed to be around level 30 and he was amazing witch brings up the what value a mc cleric/mage would have in throne of baull with the level 40 cap

    i was thinking the same Punkindrublic

    in ToB a Cleric/Mage will have tons of advantages. And a Cleric/Mage with the Robe of Vecna can be a devastating foe, think of whipping off loads of Abi-Dhalzims Horrid Wiltings hehe alongside Gate and many others in superfast time.

    i would ceratinly NOT like to try that one!
