I'm just curious. I used to sell PCs. I don't any longer. :( There's no income in this business for the moment). Although I also post on a tech website, I was still wondering what everyone on SP is running. If you would, post if it is a store, or internet bought computer and who's the builder. Or if you are savvy enough to have built it yourself. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with store bought computers (I used to sell them). It's just that the software is usually highly proprietary, with a lot of shareware stuff installed. Or if you feel like it, just talk tech on this thread (AMD Vs. Intel) or whatever.
    I'll go first:

Intel 1.6A P4 (A is the generation P4) NO OC
Intel 850 MV Mainboard (Intel: Hence no OC)
    512 MBRAM PC800
120GB Western Digital Sp.ed. Hard Drive w/Windows XP Pro
    60GB IBM Hard Drive w/Windows 98SE
    128MB Leadtek GeForce 4 nVidia Ti4200 graphics/OC
    44X 24X 44X Yamaha CD burner
    52X Creative Labs CDROM
    Creative Labs 5.1 X-Gamer Soundcard
Intel 10/100 card with Boradband DSL on a LAN.
    Logitech 540 THX Speaker System
    Viewsonic PF790 19" PerfectFlat Monitor
For Printing I use an HP 960C Printer and a Lexmark Laser (for just text). (Can you tell I really miss working with the technology?)
Most used apps include MS Office XP, MusicMatch and MS Digital Image PRO 7.0

For games I am currently in the middle of BGII, for what must be the tenth time.

Bought mine second hand a year or two/three ago. Don't know all the specs anymore, but this is the general picture. Yeah I know, I badly need an upgrade. I'm saving money to build my own new comp. Which will help me conquer the world! :p ;)

    - Compaq Deskpro Case
    - Pentium3 500Mhz
    - 64 MB Ram
    - 6,4 GB Harddrive
    - Pre-3d Videocard (aka the crap ;) ) soundcard also sucks.
    - 17 Inch monitor (Philips 107E)
    - CD player (Philips) that skips on occasion
    - Network card (10/100)

I will go and drag that woman I clubbed unconcious back to my cave now

I build it my self and I borrowed the CD of the Windows XP from a friend of mine. The whole thing costed me 1018 euros. As for the rest of the devices (monitor, keyboard, modem and speakers) I used the ones from my old computer). Now all that I need is a new monitor and a UPS.

 OMG, don't never, ever believe what the salesman tells you! 100% compatible... When speaking of computers, there is no such thing as 100% compatible (80% at most).

    Windows2000 btw. Beats XP anyday.
