I'm always having problems on finding what spells i should use for each battle. Sometimes they don't evene work on a monster like Chaos Command, etc.

Give me some tips on what you use what you have found most effective in this case..

    Thanks

When all else fails, rush 'em with a weapon or two in your hand, scream at the top of your lungs and swing away!

The ones i've found most useful have been haste, peirce magic, dispel magic, breach etc, and magic missile. Also the summoning spells and restoration/healing spells have came in handy too.

Haste, Magic Missile, Chromatic Orb, Spell Turning (minor or w/o), protection from magic weapons, pierce magic are some of the magic that I have found mostly useful.

You may want to have a true seeing or dispell invisibility spell in hand so you can use breach or something else on those pain in the ass mages who always use 25 defenses, INCLUDING invis, which then prevents using breach (which I LOVE!)

Magic Missle, Breach, Pierce Magic, Lower Resistance, Sunfire, Finger of Death, Ali-Dazzim's Horrid Wilting, (Probably my second favorite spell) and Simulecrem (Not sure about spelling; Also, Time Stop if you have the cap removed.)

Spell sequencer is great, too. You can have spells like Magic Missle loaded up, and ready to go!
